Day 1: (Monday) Windhoek (BB,D)
On arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met by a Thompsons Africa Representative and transfered to your hotel with the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Accommodation is at Etohsha Rest Camp or similar.

Day 2: (Tuesday) Etosha National Park (BB,D)
Depart Windhoek and head north via Okahaundja for a visit to a local market to shop for wood carvings and curios. We arrive at our lodge late this afternoon. Accommodation is at Etohsha Rest Camp or similar.

Day 3: (Wednesday) Etosha National Park (BB, D)
Today you will spend a full day in this world-class game park, visiting a number of waterholes to observe the wildlife. Etosha translated mean “The place of dry water” and here we get our first of the magnificent pan. Accommodation is at Etohsha Rest Camp or similar.

Day 4: (Thursday) Etosha National Park (BB, D)
We spend another day in Etosha’s unique desert landscape searching for amongst other animals, its largest population of elephants and marvelling at its prolific bird life. Accommodation tonight is located just outside the reserve at Etosha Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 5 (Friday) Damaraland (BB, D)
We rise early this morning for a day which is sure to prove most memorable. With their intricate hairstyles and traditional adornments, the Himba are one of Namibia’s most distinctive tribes. We spend time with these proud people, learning about their captivating heritage and special way of life. From the small settlement near Kamanjab we head via Khorixas, the capital of Damaraland region to arrive at our lodge in the mid-afternoon. Accommodation tonight is at Damara Mopane Lodge or similar

Day 6 (Saturday) Damaraland (BB, D)
We rise early this morning to see highlights of Damaraland, one of the last true wilderness area in Africa. We pass through scenic landscapes en route to the Petrified Forest. We visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, the fascinating geological features such as the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain. Your afternoon is at leisure. Accommodation tonight is at Damara Mopane Lodge or similar

Day 7 (Sunday) Swakopmund (BB)
We continue via Henties Bay to the charming coastal resort of Swakopmund. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to explore the town. Accommodation tonight is at The Beach Hotel or similar

Day 8 (Monday) Swakopmund (BB)
Today is at leisure to continue your exploration of this charming town. Indulge in a harbour cruise or do a scenic flight, or perhaps one of the numerous optional adventure activities on offer. Accommodation tonight is at The Beach Hotel or similar
Day 9 (Tuesday) Sossusvlei (BB, D)
This morning you will visit some of the regions natural wonders such as the ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis and the Moon Landscape before continuing to the edges of the Namib Desert. From there we proceed through the southern region of the Namib Naukluft Park, the Kuiseb Canyon, and the Gaub Pass before we reach our accommodation. Accommodation tonight is at Namib Desert Lodge or similar

Day 10 (Wednesday) Sossusvlei (BB, D)
You visit the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, reputedly the highest dunes in the world. Energetic guest may choose to climb to the top of the dunes, before returning to our lodge. Accommodation tonight is at Damara Mopane Lodge or similar

Day 11 (Thursday) Sossusvlei (BB)
This morning we have a leisurely start and drive through scenic Spreetshoogte Pass (road conditions permitting) on to Windhoek. You may arrive at your Windhoek city hotel at approximately 13h30. Alternatively you may choose to be dropped off at the Windhoek International Airport by 14h30.
